Shop Makeup For Dry Skin

Finding the right makeup for dry skin is essential - it's surprising how many formulas can cling unflatteringly to dry areas, or look too "flat" rather than like skin. Those of us with dry skin at Adore Beauty have put together a list of our favourite products.

From light coverage to full, from primers to setting sprays, we've got dry skin covered. After moisturising, apply a primer made to hydrate the skin. This will keep your skin from looking flat or full throughout the day, while really locking in your makeup. Try going for a lighter coverage foundation with a dewy finish, and go back in with a high coverage concealer over any blemishes.

If your skin is too dry for powder, skip it completely! Or if you still get an oily T-zone, only apply powder where you need it. Try using a mineral powder over the top of tinted moisturiser, which will add just a bit of coverage but wont completely mattify your face.

And speaking of, try giving mineral powder a shot! Many new-generation mineral powders are made with skincare ingredients and emollients, so you may be very surprised at how flattering and hydrating they are.

A cream blush and contour will add dimension and colour. Look for creams that have a transparent base - think more like a jelly than a cream. Or try a liquid tint, which will last all day and give you a natural looking flush.

Don't forget - there are hydrating setting sprays that leave you with a dewy, hydrated finish and keep your makeup looking fresh.

The Best primer ever!!!

Ok so I’ll be honest, I didn’t even know what primer was until I tried it.
This was the first I had tried and it was amazing.
My make up is so even and the primer helps make it last longer.
I thought I’d try a more expensive brand thinking it will be so much better because it’s a designer band.
Wasn’t I shocked to found out I just paid triple the price for a primer that was really not great.
I now use Nude by Nature EVERYTHING, I love it so much never disappoints.

Coverage is brilliant.

I was a Maybelline FitMe fan for a while, then read the reviews on this product and thought I had to try it. You don't need concealer with the kind of coverage it offers - and I say this as someone with significant scar and discolouration issues. Apply with a wet makeup sponge, set with a good transluscent powder and it does not budge the whole day. Love.

Lovely product - works well, feels good, smells good!

I have been using this primer for about 2 years now. It feels lovely on the skin and is a good base before applying foundation. A little bit goes a long way! I have also used it as a moisturiser or in place of foundation if I don't want to wear a lot of make up. Highly recommend.

Easy coverage

I like the light coverage that this mineral foundation provides. It's easy and quick to apply. I opted for the light shade, which matches my skin well.
